HOMECOMING 2008
Homecoming 2008 is scheduled for Oct 12th. Bethlehem will be celebrating 125 years of ministry and service. THis is an annual event that includes worship, a delcious "dinner on the grounds," and wonderful fellowship with current, former, and prospective members of Bethlehem. Rev. Al Laymon will bring the messages in both services. Rev. Laymon served as Bthlehem's thirty first pastor from 1960-1966.
COMMITTEE ORIENTATION NIGHT
All church committees are asked to meet on Wednesday night, October 1st at 6:30pm in the Fellowship Hall. The primary purpose of Committee Orientation Night is for each church committee to elect a chairperson for the new church year, make sure new committee members understand the responsibilites of the committee to which they have been assigned, and set a schedule for future meetings, as needed. THis will give each committee of the chuch an opportunity to organize themselves for the new church year.
BOOK TO BE MADE AVALIABLE
For the next cople of weeks, copies of Dr. and Mrs. White's last book, "The Windowsill of Heaven" will be avaliable through the church office. Copies are $6.00 each, with all proceeds going to the Bethlehem Building Fund. Copies are also avaliable in the rear hallway this morning.
KEENAGE CLUB
Our monthly meeting will be on Tuesday, October 7th at 10:30am in the Fellowship Hall. The guest speaker will be Michale Moreland, MA, MPT. He is the manager of the Knightdale Physical Therapy and Wellness Center. Come and join us for our meeting.
Beginnin in October, the Keenage Club will again provide individually wrapped snack cakes for the homeless at Cornerstone, Raleigh. We also will take Styrofoam cofee cups, sugar/sweetner and powdered creamer. The cakes and coffee fixing are to be brought to the Keenage Club meetings the first Tuesday each mnth and will be delivered the first Wednesday. your help is necessary for the success of this mission project. Thank you for all you do.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
It's that time of year again! Women On Mission will sponsor the collection of treasure filled shoboxes for needy children around the world. Something new this year - we will suplly plastic shoeboxes for you to sign out, fill with gifts for a boy or girl and return to the church. Look for us soon in the back hallway before, between and after Sunday morning services. If you have questions, please call George Ann Ricks or Betty Creech.
