Music Ministry
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord... Psalm 100:1
Our music ministry at Bethlehem Baptist Church is lead by Susan Marler and offers many opportunities to praise the Lord through music. If you are looking for a way to worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through music, come join us.
We sing praises. We worship. We fellowship. We serve our Lord through music.
You do not have to know how to read music to be able to sing. Learning to sing is a process that can begin when you join a choir. Practices are structured so that no matter what your skill level, we all end up singing the note we're supposed to be on.
There are no tryouts. Just show up and make a joyful noise! You may sing a solo if you desire to do so, but it is not mandatory to be a part of our music ministry.
All sanctuary choir members are assigned a choir robe. The children wear robes on occasion. The other choirs are not required to wear robes.
There is no child care available at this time for the sanctuary choir or ensemble practice.
The following are the different areas in which all ages serve.
Sanctuary Choir
Our sanctuary choir sings at the 11:00 am Sunday worship service and practices on Wednesday nights from 7:15 pm - 8:45 pm.
Ensemble
This group sings at the 8:45 a.m. Sunday worship service and practices on Tuesday nights from 7:15 pm - 8:45 p.m.
Both the sanctuary choir and ensemble sing special anthems and participate in special services such as Hanging of the Greens, Maundy Thursday, and other special musicals and cantatas.
All ages are welcome to sing with us in the ensemble and/or sanctuary choir. We have some that do both!
Praise Team
The praise team consists of youth from grades 6 - 12. Their practice is on Sunday evening from 5:00 until 5:45 . This group sings praise and worship songs at both 8:45 and 11:00 worship services about once every other month.
Joyful Noise
Joyful noise is for all children grades K-5. Our practice with these children is on Sunday from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm. This group sings up-beat selections at both worship services (8:45 and 11:00) about every other month and performs a musical in the Spring.
